SBTi Data & Net Zero Targeting
What is the SBTi?
The Science Based Targets Initiative sets guidance for the rate at which businesses must reduce and remove greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) in order to limit global average temperature increases to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels as recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The SBTi is backed by the United Nations and aims to promote consistent, science-based target setting through it's Corporate Standard which prioritises deep cuts in emissions ahead of funding removals. Companies from H&M to Sainsbury's have set targets with the SBTi.
